In September 2014, five months before his death, Marcos made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land with Fr José Miguel García. During the journey he wrote down what he was discovering in Capernaum, on the Mount of Olives and at the Dominus Flevit. On the tenth anniversary of his death, the Association published these notes in Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and English.
In brief
- The value of our life is not something we give ourselves: it is Another’s preference for us, like that of Jesus for those fishermen in Capernaum.
- Even what we want to offer to God has to be given to us by Him first. Our part is to say yes.
- Christ is still present today, discreetly, through particular people. And that encounter is not just for oneself: it is to be passed on.
There is Another who is cherishing me, so that (together with me) He can cherish others. And this is my responsibility: to live from Him in order to pass Him on.
